Explore our core engineered chemical products, manufactured to international quality regulations under strict DCS system control.
Urea-Formaldehyde (UF) resin represents a cornerstone category of thermosetting polymers, globally revered for its high tensile strength, rapid cure rate, and exceptional cost-to-performance efficiency. At Shandong Runtai New Materials Co., Ltd., our UF systems are engineered via the controlled condensation of urea with formaldehyde in an aqueous medium.
By strictly managing the formaldehyde-to-urea (F:U) molar ratio during the multi-stage addition, we produce cross-linked matrices configured for minimal free formaldehyde emissions (meeting E0, E1, and CARB Phase 2 guidelines) while maintaining high mechanical shear resistances required for structural wood panel manufacturing, laminating, and compression moulding applications.
Our technical formulations leverage the addition of chemical stabilizers, specific mineral fillers, and modifying monomers such as melamine to adjust water resistance (hydrolytic stability) and mechanical elasticity parameters. This engineering granularity makes Runtai the premier strategic partner for global scale distributors and industrial manufacturing units.

Founded in March 2020, Shandong Runtai New Materials Co., Ltd. is a comprehensive chemical manufacturing group specializing in high-performance fine chemical solutions and polymer resin synthesis. The corporation has established active branches in five different cities throughout China, with its operational headquarters situated in Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province.
Covering a footprint of over 270,000 square meters and backed by an aggregate capital investment of 2.06 billion yuan, Runtai has integrated complete upstream-downstream value chains for formaldehyde, paraformaldehyde, urea formaldehyde resin, melamine, and specialized additives.
By securing an estimated 80% market share within targeted domestic premium segments, we have steadily expanded our overseas supply networks, exporting specialized chemical solutions to the United States, Thailand, Kenya, Egypt, and other major industrial hubs globally.
Runtai New Materials is a professional chemical supplier dedicated to satisfying strict customer requirements with superior chemical products and solutions. Our engineering teams and cutting-edge production machinery are committed to producing polymer formulations that satisfy global standards.
In order to satisfy the unique requirements of various industries, we simultaneously offer standardized bulk options as well as customized molecular adjustments, altered solid concentrations, and optimized gel-time windows based on the unique manufacturing machinery parameters of our customers.
Additionally, our technical customer support provides comprehensive guide formulations for cold-pressing, hot-pressing, and post-curing variables to maximize wood panel output speeds and minimize manufacturing down-time.
How our technological framework eliminates batch-to-batch variation and keeps raw material pricing stable.
We select and implement the most advanced Distributed Control System (DCS) to monitor real-time pressure, exothermic heat, pH, viscosity, and chemical reactions across the entire production line. This ensures highly uniform, consistent resins and lowers raw material consumption.
With an annual output of 380,000 tons of formaldehyde and 60,000 tons of melamine, Runtai synthesizes its own key raw materials. This insulates our buyers from international chemical market volatility and guarantees consistent resin inputs.
We maintain dynamic partnerships with the Changzhou Research Institute of Beijing University of Chemical Technology. Our in-house doctoral research team continuously improves resin curing characteristics, producing proprietary, low-emission formulations.
Matching specific processing requirements to specialized wood-based compositing and paper-impregnating workflows.

To address shifting global environmental regulations, Runtai New Materials has committed considerable R&D capital to next-generation thermosetting binders. Our technology roadmap focuses on three main developments:
By combining modern green chemistry with advanced automated manufacturing, we ensure that Runtai products keep our customers ahead of regional compliance updates.
Shipping industrial chemicals internationally requires careful attention to compliance and reliable logistics. Runtai New Materials operates in complete alignment with regional registration requirements. Our chemical lines are fully compliant with EU REACH protocols, US EPA TSCA Title VI regulations, and international ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management standards.
Additionally, our logistics hub in Zaozhuang City leverages direct transport links to Qingdao Port and Lianyungang Port. This allows us to organize reliable dry bulk container shipments, specialized ISO tank transfers, and moisture-protected powdered shipments under climate-controlled conditions to ensure prompt arrival.
For large buyers, we offer technical support teams to assist with localized trials, regulatory documentation, and production line optimization during transition phases.

We control emissions through precise formulation adjustments and multi-stage condensation reactions. By using a low formaldehyde-to-urea (F:U) ratio (between 1.05 and 1.15) and introducing specialized formaldehyde catchers during the final condensation phase, we significantly lower free formaldehyde levels. Our DCS system maintains strict pH levels and temperature profiles, preserving polymer cross-linking densities and ensuring high mechanical bond strength.
Liquid UF resins typically have a shelf life of 3 to 6 weeks, depending on storage temperatures (ideally between 15°C and 25°C). High temperatures accelerate molecular condensation, which increases viscosity and can cause gelation. Our spray-dried powder UF resins offer a longer shelf life of up to 12 months when stored in sealed, moisture-proof packaging in dry, cool conditions.
Ammonium chloride (NH4Cl) is the standard hardener used in industrial applications, generally added at a ratio of 0.5% to 1.5% of the liquid resin mass. For rapid hot press cycles, we recommend adding organic acids or acidic salts to accelerate curing. In cold-pressing setups, stronger acid catalysts are required to initiate cure reactions at ambient room temperatures.
Standard UF resins can hydrolyze under hot, humid conditions, which degrades bond strength over time. By incorporating melamine (co-condensing it to form Melamine-Urea-Formaldehyde, or MUF), we create a highly stable, water-resistant network. Melamine's ring structure improves moisture and weather resistance, qualifying the wood composites for humid, semi-exterior applications.
Our DCS process monitors and regulates exothermic heat, viscosity changes, and monomer conversion in real time. This automated control keeps key resin parameters—such as viscosity, pH, and solids content—consistent across every production run. It also reduces raw material waste and energy usage, helping us maintain stable, competitive pricing for our global clients.
